Money buys books. Time and knowledge turn them into experiences. Whatever you can give, the children will feel it.
Choose an amount to see what it pays for. Pay by M-Pesa or card from anywhere in the world.
Monthly gifts let us plan Quests months ahead.
You get a short report on every Quest you support.
Change or stop a monthly gift whenever you like.
Every month this buys a chapter book and discussion cards for a Page Turner.

For schools and companies
Some of the best moments in a Quest come from a person who simply shows up and shares what they know.
Scientists, artists, farmers, nurses or elders with a story. Join one session in person or by video.
You get a one page brief with the children’s questions plus a note on what they did next.
Help run reading sessions on Saturdays or join a mission day. Every volunteer is vetted before working with children.
You get training, a regular squad and a front row seat to children growing.
Write a short story for one of our reading stages or record yourself reading one in Kiswahili, English or your home language.
You get your story in our library once our team has reviewed it.
Good condition picture books, chapter books and novels for ages 5 to 16 are always welcome.
You get a bookplate with your name inside every book.
Supporters can join selected sessions by video to watch the children present their work. Questions are passed on by our facilitators.
Every live session is a group session with at least two Soma adults present.
No adult can message a child directly. Children are introduced by first name only.
Parents give written consent before we store any details or share any photo.
Volunteers and guest experts provide a Certificate of Good Conduct.
Join the monthly Squad letter. One email with what the children read and did. No spam.
